Superintendent  Dr. Thomas A. Gorman shared a letter with the Montville Township Public Schools community on July 13, 2022. Dr. Gorman was was appointed Superintendent of the Montville Township Public Schools by the Montville Township Board of Education on Tuesday, March 15, 2022.

Gorman was appointed Superintendent of the Montville Township Public Schools on Tuesday, March 15, 2022. The resolution of Dr. Gorman’s appointment was unanimously passed by the Montville Township Board of Education. Dr. Gorman’s appointment is effective as of July 1, 2022, following the retirement of Superintendent Dr. René T. MTHS Announces State-Of-the-Art Renovation and Repairs. High School Track and Football Field Closes for Construction Rendering of state-of-the-art track at MTHS.

Track and Field Closed to the Public from May 31 to June 10 and June 24 through September 2 - Relay for Life and MTHS Graduation will Still Be Held on the Track and Field. In order to complete necessary repairs and upgrades, the MTHS track and football field will be fully closed to the public two times during spring and summer 2022. The first closure occurs May 31 through June 10 and the second will be from June 24 through September 2, 2022. During both closures the area of the MTHS track and football field will be an active construction site. The public is prohibited from using the site during construction. A new synthetically resurfaced rubberized track will be built during the renovation and repairs process. Additionally, the football field turf will be fully replaced. Both surfaces are highly rated to provide low-impact running surfaces that result in ideal traction and state-of-the-art safety and performance. The renovations will also continue to improve drainage and will provide lower maintenance needs, thus reducing on-going costs in upkeep...READ MORE...

Summer Reading information for Lazar, MTHS, and MTHS AP Classes is available now. Lazar Math also available. Summer is a time to remember that reading a good book can be fun as well as informative. By encouraging students to read over the summer, we support the goal of creating lifelong readers. The One School One Book initiative promotes greater unity among students and a desire to be part of collaborative conversations.

MTHS Valedictorian to Major in Chemical-Biological Engineering at MIT Montville Township High School Class of 2022 Valedictorian Elizabeth Bazhenov addressed the MTHS graduating class of 255 peers on Thursday, June 23, 2022, at the 51st Annual MTHS Commencement ceremony.

Elizabeth Bazhenov is a Young Woman with a Passion for STEM Who Urges Others to Never “Hide Their Authentic Self or Passion for Whatever They Enjoy” -- Bazhenov achieved her goal of becoming Valedictorian of the Class of 2022, and on Thursday, June 23, 2022, at the 51st Annual MTHS Commencement ceremony, she shared with her peers several lessons she learned as she worked toward achieving her goal. Bazhenov, who will attend MIT in the fall as a Chemical-Biological Engineering (Course 10B) Major, took the stage with a selfie-stick in hand.
