Montville Township Board of Education Adopts Annual Budget for 2022-2023

At their meeting on April 26, 2022, the Montville Township Board of Education held a public hearing and adopted the Annual School District Budget for 2022-2023.

Highlights of the budget include:

The addition of three elementary teaching positions due to enrollment changes.

The addition of one part time Basic Skills Teacher and one part time ESL Teacher.

Additional related and extraordinary services based on student needs.

Increased costs in the area of transportation due to rising fuel prices and bus driver shortages.

Renovation projects including: Upgrading the entrance security at Lazar Middle School, repairs to external wall panels at Cedar Hill, William Mason and Woodmont Schools, Replacement of the gym windows at Woodmont School, Improvements to the exterior entrance and signage at Valley View School, Univentilator replacement at Valley View School, paving at Hilldale, William Mason and Valley View Schools.

The budget reflects the addition of several teaching positions.

The tax impact for the average home assessed at $531,313 will be $182.00
